In my tokipona notes and study cards, I colloquially wrap toki pona inside of == blocks which applies the “org-verbatim” face to the text (and also causes ispell to skip it) i would like to render those using one of the heiroglyph fonts, and I cannot for the life of me figure it out, I always struggle with the face system.

simple things like (face-remap-add-relative 'org-verbatim :font "sitelen-pona-pona") or customizing org-verbatim in this fashion don’t work, though fontconfig sees the fonts. Is anyone doing something similar, i know this is a little enclave of org-mode weirdos :) i guess it’s possible that emacs doesn’t support rendering the cartouches or stacked glyphs but even basic support would be nice, i am otherwise failing to incorporate the glyphs in to my learning.
